21 March, 2019. Davide Moroni has been appointed as chair of the Technical Committee on "Algebraic and Discrete Mathematical Techniques in Pattern Recognition & Image Analysis" of the International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR).
The International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR) is an international association of non-profit, scientific and professional organizations concerned with pattern recognition, computer vision, and image processing in a broad sense.
IAPR aims to promote pattern recognition and the allied branches of engineering together with the related arts and sciences, to advance international co-operation in the field of interest to stimulate research, development, and the application of pattern recognition in science and human activity.
The IAPR Technical Committee on "Algebraic and Discrete Mathematical Techniques in Pattern Recognition & Image Analysis" has been created to represent a forum of discussion of actual and prospective lines of research and exchange of the results in algebraic, discrete and topological techniques inspired or driven by pattern recognition and image analysis.
Davide Moroni has been appointed as a chair for the term 2018-2020 and will be supported by the vice-chairs Vera Yashina (RAS) and Dietrich Paulus (Koblenz University) and the honorary chair Igor Gurevich (RAS).
